Manual attendance
Manual attendance entry is available when attendance devices fail, exit readers are unavailable, punches are missed, or an employee is unable to punch in for other reasons. Go to Time & Attendance → Attendance → Bulk entry to record attendance and review existing entries on the same page.
Register an attendance by hand
Section titled “Register an attendance by hand”- Select Select Employee and pick the person. Their phone number is shown to help you tell people apart.
- Choose the Attendance Site the attendance is recorded against.
- If the session uses manual queue numbers, enter the employee’s number.
- Backdate the entry when you need to: set the Entry date and time, and the Exit date and time if you know it. On a backdated date, Eban Register suggests the employee’s schedule and pre-fills the entry and exit times, and overnight shifts roll the exit to the next day.
- Select Register.
A green summary confirms the last registration: name, phone, and assigned number. If you registered the wrong person, use Undo this attendance while the countdown is still running to remove it immediately.
Advance manual punches
Section titled “Advance manual punches”The registration panel has two tabs: Manual Attendance (for full attendance records) and Advance Manual Punches. The latter records entry and exit punches directly for an employee without creating a full attendance record, useful for capturing scans a device missed.
The attendees list
Section titled “The attendees list”Use the eye icon to Show Attendees (or Hide Attendees). The list shows records already taken for the session: name, schedule, arrival time, vitals, status, and the exit date if they have left. Depending on the state of each row you can:
| Action | When available | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Switch number | Not yet exited | Change their queue number in the session |
| Exit | Not yet exited | Mark them as exited (check-out) for the shift |
| Remove attendance | Always, with permission | Remove the record and its punches; a reason is required, of at least a few characters |
| Vitals | When vitals are enabled | Record attendance vitals for the employee |
The list exports to Excel or PDF.
