Organization structure
Set up the shape of your organization under Settings → Organization: the brand it presents, the branches it works from, the departments people belong to, and the units inside those departments. These are the groupings that decide what each administrator can see and do, so set them up before anything else.
Set the brand
Section titled “Set the brand”The brand is the profile your organization displays. Select Edit to change the details, then Save to apply them.
Add branches
Section titled “Add branches”Branches are your physical locations. Select New Branch to add one, Edit to modify, or Delete to remove it.
A branch has a name, status (Active or Inactive), prefix, description, and address (physical address, city, and zip code). The prefix is used when generating staff IDs.
Click on a branch to see employees assigned to it.
Group people into departments
Section titled “Group people into departments”Departments group employees into teams. Select New Department to add one, Edit to change it, or Delete to remove it.
A department has a name, a department prefix used when staff IDs are generated, a GL code, a description, an HOD, a Deputy HOD, and the Primary Branches it belongs to.
Add units inside departments
Section titled “Add units inside departments”Units organize employees within a department. Each unit has a name and description, belongs to a department, and can have a unit leader.
Use New Unit to create a unit, Edit to update its details, or Delete to remove it. You can view a unit’s employees and filter the unit list by Department or Leader.
How the structure is used
Section titled “How the structure is used”The common structure is a branch, then a department, then a unit.
A branch represents a location, a department groups employees and can span multiple branches, and a unit is a sub-team within a department.
This structure determines the organizational scope you can assign to administrator access. See Users & access. You can also use it to filter attendance, leave, and payroll reports.
