Overtime requests
Create overtime for your employees and follow each request through approval from Overtime → Overtime Requests. The same requests appear in two views:
- Admin Requests: the submissions as you create them, where one request can cover many employees and dates at once.
- Employee Requests: the individual requests, one row per employee and date. This view is often reached from an employee’s profile.
Create a request
Section titled “Create a request”- Select New Overtime Request.
- Choose the Overtime Source. Eban Attendance takes the hours from punched attendance on a schedule you pick, and Manual Entry takes the hours you type. The employee list follows the source you choose.
- For Eban Attendance, pick the schedule whose attendance feeds the overtime.
- Select one or more employees, each shown with their unit or department. Use the + picker to add several at once, or × to clear one.
- Pick the dates on the calendar. The dates you choose appear as chips below it.
- Set how much overtime is allowed. For Eban Attendance, choose the overtime period (Before work, After work, or Both) and the overtime limit in min or hrs, which applies per employee and per date. For Manual Entry, enter the overtime duration in hours and minutes instead, which applies to each employee and date, so 3 hours across 5 dates for 2 employees is 30 employee-hours.
- Add a comment or remarks if you need one.
- Submit the request. To approve it straight away and skip the approval workflow, turn on Auto Approve first.
Requests cannot be approved until overtime is configured. Until then, the area shows a warning banner.
Track a request
Section titled “Track a request”Each submission rolls its employees and dates up into one status: All Pending, Some Pending, All Approved, All Rejected, or Mixed. A Mixed status carries a breakdown such as 3 approved, 1 rejected, 2 pending.
Individual requests carry the shared approval statuses: Pending, Recommended, Approved, Rejected, or auto-approved, with the Approver shown once someone has acted.
View a request’s details
Section titled “View a request’s details”View details opens a read-only drawer. For a submission it shows the request information (work schedule, overtime period, default overtime limit, who requested it and when, and the overall status with any breakdown), the overtime dates, and each assigned employee with their individual status and any rejection reason. You can remove an employee from the request there.
On the Employee Requests view, each row shows the employee, the schedule, the date, the overtime limit, the status, and the approver, and View details opens a drawer with the employee, the request information, the date, the limit, and the status with any rejection reason.
Edit and delete a request
Section titled “Edit and delete a request”A request stays editable while nobody has acted on it, which is when it reads All Pending or All Rejected. Edit reopens the form, and Delete removes the request after a confirmation. Once any approver or recommender has acted, the request locks to view-only.
