Using the Inbox

Use the Inbox to view notifications addressed to your account, including approvals, alerts, and system messages. Your Inbox is personal to your signed-in account. The feed is personal to your signed-in account, and is separate from the record of what the organization sent. For that record, see the Notifications log.

Note

Accessing the Inbox requires the View Notifications permission. This permission also grants access to the Notifications log.

The feed

Notifications appear newest first, grouped by day.

Good to know

Unread notifications carry a colored left edge and a faint tint. Select anywhere on a row to open the notification.

View your notifications

The icon indicates the notification’s severity: danger, warning, success, or information. Unread notifications have a colored left border, a light background, and a bold title.

Select a notification to open its details. Opening it also marks it as Read.

Search by text to find a notification. Use the filters to narrow the feed by:

• Category: show notifications from a specific category.
• Read Status: show Unread or Read notifications.

Select Refresh to reload the feed.

Seen and read

The Inbox automatically marks notifications shown in the feed as Seen shortly after the page loads. Seen and Read are separate states: a notification can be seen without being read.

The Notifications log records both states.
