How attendance works
Time & Attendance brings together the tools for managing daily attendance. You can configure work schedules and shifts, record and review attendance, resolve attendance issues, generate reports, and issue access tickets.

The daily cycle
Section titled “The daily cycle”The Time & Attendance pages support a typical daily rhythm:
- Plan: build your work schedules and assign shifts to employees or groups on the calendar.
- Record: employees check in and out with a device, the mobile app (on-site or remote), or by hand. See Remote attendance and Manual attendance.
- Resolve: work through the Needs Attention queue: the questions only you can answer, plus any missing or disputed punches.
- Review: run reports to spot lateness, absenteeism, hours worked, and payroll inputs.
- Issue: generate tickets where attendance is required for access.
Access and permissions
Section titled “Access and permissions”What you can see is also shaped by your data scope (branches, departments, units).
