Settings overview

Configure the foundations of your organization from Settings: its structure, the people who administer it, where employees check in, the holidays and reference lists behind employee records, the notifications it sends, and what employees can see in the Self Service portal.

Set up structure and users first. Everything else is scoped and filtered by them.

  1. Organization structure: the brand, branches, departments, and units your records are organized by.
  2. Users & access: the administrators who manage the organization, and what each of them can do and see.
  3. Organization settings: the defaults behind payroll and attendance calculations.
  • Attendance: Set up the geofenced attendance sites where employees check in and out.
  • Attendance hardware: Configure the devices and agents that read attendance sites, along with device groups that determine which employee a punch is assigned to.
  • Reference data: Maintain the lists and titles used in employee records.
  • Holidays: Manage the holidays your organization observes.
  • Communication: Configure notification settings for each notification type and system alerts for device or agent issues.
  • Self-service: Control what employees can see and do through Self-service settings.
  • Payroll configuration (pay groups, pay elements, and statutory setup) is under Payroll → Configure. See Tax & statutory setup.
  • Agencies, which supply outsourced staff, are managed in their own area: Agency management.
  • Audit & logs records what administrators did, what devices sent, and what notifications went out. See Audit & logs.
